of the original 28 candidates for vacancies of Sub-Inspectors of Police in Hong Kong, Mr. W.J. Kyle has declined;

Mr. P.J. Scott accepted, was then offered transfer

to Malaya as an Assistant Superintendent and finally declined both Malaya and Hong Kong. Meagra. A.B. Jeffries, R.J.W. Craig, R.T. Brooks, J. Murphy, G.E.F. Southey, M. Jones and

A.C. Wharrie have been offered and have accepted appointments as Assistant Superintendents or Police in Malaya. The remaining 19 have accepted transfer to Hong Kong as Sub-Inspectors of Police and Crown Agents are now arranging air passages. There are therefore 9 vacancies still to fill and we should be grateful if you would let us have further recommendationsgiving particulars of their previous service and their addresses. Single candidates are required?
